Just wondering if anyone here has even bothered with this board.

I know small form factor isn't as popular here since it has its limits, but this seems like a nice board. I can't find anyone who's broken 4.0ghz on an i860 yet.

I have been close to getting one for some time now, if i can get my hands on an Abee T20 ill get the DFI board for it in a heart beat.

I watched this thread a lot: http://www.clunk.org.uk/forums/reviews/28012-dfi-lanparty-mi-p55-t36-mini-itx-living-review.html

The fact that he basically killed the board trying to get to 4.0ghz kinda turned me off. I know that's asking for a hell of a lot from an itx board, but I'd use it as a main PC.

I would rather step up to the evga x58 matx board and know I probably can't kill the board, at least before i'd kill an i920.

If I had the extra cash, I think i'd drop in a decent i5 into that board and really OC it since the power draw is less. i7s on this board will hardcore OCing will probably kill it every time, regardless of cooling. IF the mosfets had cooling, it might be a different story.

It's not an overclocking board really when all said and done, the BIOS is now restricted so that on an i7 8xx series, you have no vcore adjustment and a maximium of 150 BCLK. On the i5 series, you get a small increase in VCore and up to 180 BCLK.

They they should have labeled it differently. They put it under a Lanparty label then decide to cripple the board.

Could some form of heatsink be applied to this area?
