Days to Overtake Increase?

In my travels to the stats page I recently noticed the Days to overtake the number team increased by 1.35 days, how come:shakes::shrug:
Just wondering- guess I am the new eager beaver who wants us on top:D

Yeah... Our RAC is going in the wrong direction. When we had everyone kicking in to make the thanksgiving deadline we were actually under 150 days (RAC > 1.4 million), but now that people are switching some stuff back to F@H, we've slowed a bit. (RAC 1.055 million)

I don't mind that much... as long as the cards are still crunching, I'm happy. :up:

I switched my 295 onto my WinXP machine to see if does any better than when it was on Vista (I have all eye candy turned off) and I think it does ... about 20 minutes faster per WU which adds up to almost 1 extra WU per day. :yepp:

Looks like Bob is still getting a mix of versions :slapass: hopefully he reads this and fixes up his GPUGrid preferences and changes up to have ACEMD no, ACEMD2 yes, and the "send other apps if my preferred is not available" :rofl:

I know at WCG, we've been #3 forever. We have just not had the horsepower to take out EasyNews or Team 2CH.

Just for the record, I changed over some time ago. ACEMD no, ACEMD2 yes, "send other apps..." checked.

Thx to PG for pointing out a blast of errors I was having, I was running some pretty old drivers. ........I mean like 185.85 old.....:am: :slobber:

The 185.85 drivers do not like anything to do with ACEMD....

I need to check for latest updates on drivers and Boinc too. Everytime I update Boinc they release a new version:ROTF: right now I think I have my 4 systems running 6.10.32..or maybe 2 of them are still on 6.10.19:shrug:

I am also thinking about selling 1 more system, because I have some plans for this year. will have to see how it pans out, but I am seriously considering selling one more 920, & mobo. Possibly sell another gpu to make room for new cards coming soon:rofl:

If I haven't said it enough, I really appreciate your help and the others that bought my items. So far my Utility bill has dropped $100/month; so I am making good progress. Just can't wait to get my pay back now :shakes: :shrug:

I have found that the best Windows OS for GPUGrid is XP ... I have not been able to see a difference between 32 and 64 but they are both much faster than Vista or Win7.

While Linux might be processing faster overall, the current app version from GPUGrid uses a full CPU along with your GPU and that does not sit so well with our WCG crunching brothers and sisters (I'm one of them).

If you have stats for 64 bit OS vs a 32 bit OS please post them so we can all benefit.

as far as Fermi; IDK; I want to stay in the $200 price range, but depends on results compared to 275's.

I will still have 2 275's and 1 260-216 for the team, but will not have anything for F@H:( maybe after we take #1 spot I will move 1 card over to F@H so I do not drop to the bottom over there.

My primary focus right now is for WCG; so I will be adding a W555/dual xeons to replace some of the systems I sold. This will help reduce costs on electric bill as well:up:

Another benefit to what you are doing is when hot weather hits you are not going to have so much heat to counteract. :up:
