Ideally, I'd like a Portrait-Landscape-Portrait (PLP) configuration. I figure that it would be more economical so that I can use smaller LCD's to match up w/ my Hanns-G 28" (1920x1200).
This would also help on desk space and WAF. Three - 28's would not fly...

If my Pythagorean calculations are correct, a 28" Hanns-G monitor (16:10 - 27.5" viewable) would need two 17" 16:10 monitors in Portrait mode on either side for the screens to line up.

- are my calculations correct?
- 17" 16:10 LCD's... any suggestions - they are by no means, abundant.
- IIRC, Eyefinity doesn't support PLP. What solutions would you recommend to execute this?
- how about a couple 4:3 monitors on the end? That's Eyefinity compatible no?
- if my calculations are correct, I'd need a 24" (4:3) monitor on either side for things to line up...
- and if my research is correct, a 24-inch 4:3 LCD just doesn't seem to exist...

In my dream world, there's a 24 inch 4:3 monitor with a 1600x1200 resolution that will match up nicely to my 1920x1200 monitor...
I can see that this ideal monitor would be hard (or impossible) to find.

i might just have to go with two 17-inch Portrait 16:10 monitors. They're scarce but more abundant than my phantom 24-inch 4:3 display.
