the cores on the green ones are usually newer (later week), and good stepping,
for these and only reasons you have a greater chance of hitting high speeds.
the packaging (the green/brown part) doesn't matter at all. its all in the core.

It dosen't matter. Unless your puttin green in the brownies..
But yeah, what dmitriyaz said pretty much hit the bullseye.
