I think this is the glue for ION2 and other discreet gpus. Just think i5's mobile have aigp and so does the pinetrail no point in putting a nvidia low end and a high end gpu for switching rather switching from the Intels IGP to the nvidia higher end gpu makes more sense.

Yeah, with OS X and standardized hardware - the platform a Mac provides - you could do app-specific selective downclocking.

i have an asus UL80VT CULV intel with nvidia m210 and intel IGP, i can get easly 10hrs out of it
