looks overrpiced.

Here in Alberta there at 50" Plasma for under $1000 and 40" LCD's for 600-700.

yea, but it has on line conection and 120hrz. id think this tv would hold me till OLED tv become affordable, i can also run it as a second desktop:up:

still overpriced.. :/

at that price a 42" panny v/g10 would be better

The sony bravia's are really good quality though. We have the 40V4000, the W series are their flagship models.
I read some "professional" reviews, and the bravia's had the best contrast and colors if I remember correctly.

theres a 32" XBR9 for 699 but im not sure, i think i'll regret a 32 incher though. link: http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10121979&catid=

Yeah don't go for a 32". We've got a 42" V series Bravia, and I like it. It's not 120Hz or anything, but that's what was affordable when we got it last year. Anything above 40-42" is purely luxury imo, unless you're sitting really far away.

WELL, i went down to the futureshop at 4am, there were 20ppl infront of me, stood around for 2 hours till 6, ran to the back to grab the sharp when...no tv, only display. i went asking a few people with the same response; out of the tv and should be in by jan 7. i was so pissed that i wanted to leave there with something, so i got a 40inch toshiba REGZA for 799 (link: http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?sku_id=0770HDS0010122882&catid=23524&logon=&langid=EN )

I get home and set everything up, power it on when i notice some while bleeding from the top corners :shakes:

im going to hold on to this guy and return it when the sharp comes in, there is a difference between the two with image quality too, the sharp is a superior tv.

thanks for the input!
