I have recently got a HD 5870 and a 1680 x 1050 monitor does not do it the justice it deserves, so i thought i would bump up the res to 1920 x 1080 or 1900 x 1200.

So i am looking for a 24" (maybe a 26") mid/high end (im not talking mega bucks though) I will be using it for alot of gaming and web browsing.

The quality of the 226BW is good from what i have seen, what do you guys recommend i get?

So far i have seen these two that i really like these

Dell G2410 24" (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-034-DE)

Samsung SM2494HM 24" (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-106-SA)

Happy holidays

I just upgraded from the 226bw to an Asus 25.5" and it is great!

VW266H I got it at B&H photo video for $300 and free shipping and a $30 mail in rebate. There is no dead or stuck pixels and no back light bleeding at all. The colors are very vibrant and the image is sharp. I love it!

I just upgraded from my 226bw to a Dell G2410. The LED backlighting makes a huge difference. If I put both screens side to side the samesung's white looks yellow compared to the dell. In fact it is so bright I have to the brightness down to 60%. I would have bought the Samsung 2370 but it doesn't have a vesa mount. I'm still glad I got the Dell though, its also a plus that the bezel is matte because most of all the samsungs now are fingerprint magnets.

LED makes no difference, that yellow must come from monitor set to warm color mode.I have the XL2370 and had to lower the brightness and contrast to 10%, otherwise it is just like the ccfl monitors, only thinner.

If we speak about monitors, what do you think about Dell 2209WA or Dell U2410, is it worth it ? I am little annoyed with the changing colors of tn panels.

WLED and RGB LED does make a huge difference though to CCFL.

from what I've seen/heard/read, the U2410 is worth it although the Acer s243hl might be worth looking into if you want to save a bit of $.

Just went from a 226BW to a Iiyama E2607WSD (26") and as Kenny mentioned earlier, the Samsung is yellow compared to the Iiyama.

There isn't much of a difference between the 22" and 26" and for me going to 24", unless it was an IPS, is definately not worth it.

So far an excellent monitor with minimal back light bleed and no issues whilst gaming.
