Moneual propose in Korea a new MiNEW N20U, a new stylish netbook, powered by an Atom 1.6Ghz, 1GB of RAM, a 10.1” LCD with a 1024x576 resolution, offered with either 16 or 32GB of SSD, WiFi, BGN… For a size of 245.5x165x197mm for a weight of 950g.
I have to admit that our new MiNEW N20U specs are not really impressive, but if you are searching for a compact netbook with a design a bit different from what is available today on the market.

The specs are rather unimpressive, but... the looks! I'm loving the design! :D Just hope that the white paint is durable.
And pricing's not published yet, but pretty sure it's going to be affordable. No need to pay twice more to Apple or Dell to get cool looking stuff!

Impressive picture ... NOT! Hotlinking doesn't work ;)

€dith: No problem :) You're welcome.

So, going ON-Topic. For me the question is, do we need another Netbook, even if it might look a tad better than the ones of the competitors?

Imho, we don't. I'd rather see a Netbook that has a Trackpad which size is actually useable or abandon it for Trackpoints.

Argh... fixing. Sorry. :(

Edit: fixed. You can remove yours now if you like. Thanks for noting this!

why an ssd, wouldnt that raise the price alot?

it also makes it alot faster, and a 16 or 32GB ssd would be like $60 or less so its not a huge deal

that is 100% false and if you had owned a netbook with an SSD in it you wouldnt be saying that.....

for wasted $60 on the slow, slowwww SSD i can get a much nicer 320GB sata drive...
average write speed on most of these SSD's is under 20MB (more like 12 to 15mbps) average read speed is around 45mbps...
so now tell me that the SSD is faster
when are they going to get off their a$$es and

1) make the SSD and SATA both available
2) dual core atoms... nuff said.

dont netbooks have those 4k rpm 1.8" drives in most of them, i had used an asus before but then it had linux on the ssd and windows with the hdd.

and if u put in a dual core its a mini note not a netbook

QFT!

it seems like this product is going to try to sell it's self with looks not performance or value. it's interesting, don't get me wrong, but i feel it's only worth might be motivating other manufacturers to improve their design.

1024x576? give me a break :shakes:

most netbooks use 1024x600 and that's barely usable. Yes I have a netbook, an nc-10.
