All the advice I ever give always seems to be common sense type advice, and I usually feel kind of dumb posting it. So, do you think by my posts that I actually help anyone?

dont feel unappreciated! i know in those 1k+ posts youve helped people out, what may seem common sense to some could be something entirely new to others
Yeah i would think they do help... If you haven't noticed theres alot of people lacking "common sense".
Running through the basics is a must when trouble shooting although it seems too repetitive after time.

i for one have been helped a lot by most of u. sandman has helped me with alot of my cooling, so has KnightElite, JBell, Silversink, etc., etc., etc. :) i admit i have spammed some and took it alittle too far at one point (which i still feel bad about), but i have been helped a lot and hope to gain some (if not all) of the knowledge u guys have to spread to the new n00bs.
everyones gotta learn the basic "common sense" stuff at some point, and y not from the best?
[edit] although some of you haven't helped directly, the threads i read through without posting have helped a lot also :D :toast:

sandman: i feel the same, but have come to the conclusion that theres alot of noob's here AND everyone knows a lil something that someone else doesnt.
Sandman, your posts are great usually, just dont go posting single smilie posts like some people around here do. They could at least make a comment.

When I came on board here, I didn't know squat about computers; I just knew I didn't want to be ripped off buying another retail system. I have benefited form advice like "make sure all your wires are the same polarity" and “leave the power off for a few minutes before rebooting”.
Still don’t know squat, but I know a lot more than I used to.
The simple replies are really helpful.

By a law of averages I think even the most ardent spam master (points a finger at Jbell) will post something interesting/helpfull/usefull every so often.
As long as people keep doing as you are and sharing the knoledge as they learn it themselves, then we will get stronger and stronger...
