Gigabyte MA790XT-UD4P AMD790X + X4 965 C3 Possible Bios update

I heard I needed to have a updated bios for them to run together if I order that mobo and it is shipped with older Bios .

If i need to update the bios will the mobo and cpu even boot up, or will I need to get another cpu to do that.

And another question which of this ram kits would be best to go with that combo. Need a cheap ram kit in cad funds, wanna do some nice ocing and lower timmings.

Not sure about the bios situation, just getting my feet wet with the AM3 stuff myself but ram is easy to find.

As far as I know it should boot, but the CPU probably won't be recognised. I'm getting the MA790X-UD4P also, but if you need to flash it then I would try to get a spare CPU in case you need it.

I had the UD4P with a 965 C3 it will boot up with whatever bios it has on it, then you can just flash to latest bios, not a problem.
