@FischOderAal Demonoid is a P2P share site and a very lovely one at that. They were in some legal and some hardware/software poop some months ago and had t shift/rewrite lots of things.

This site has been up and down several times in the last 3-4 years...

It offers a whole lot of nothing that you couldn't get without it. People act as if piracy came to a halt without Demonoid. I guess it's just people who lack the ability to pirate things without being spoon fed =/

I use demonoid for the hard to come by stuff therefor i dont download much from it but i upload a hell of alot.

Pretty much, I think I have a Demonoid account but I seriously don't care. It has always been slow as hell compared to other sites that I'm registered at, Demonoid is a private site with everything that's wrong with public trackers.

I think one of the problems was that invites were waaaay to easily available, anybody could get one. That defeats the purpose of a private tracker.

Probably the best thing it has going for it is the search filtering system. Most BT sites are a nightmare to filter for proper content. Ultimately though Usenet still has much more on the benefits side for me. Still a member on Demonoid as there is some fairly good free music on there (released by the artists).
