Hi,

I was wondering why ABIT isn`t releasing a nForce3 board.I think a lot of OCers would appreciate it!!!
I`ve heard something of a K8N-G.Is ABIT going to release a nForce3 board in the near future?I really hope so ;-)

We have plans for NF2 250 based on a Socket 939 board, however we will not be making a NF3 150 board based on the Socket 754 platform.

Just curious as to why? With AMD releasing a lower cost A64 it doesn't seem like this socket is going to disappear overnight.

I thought Abit and Nvidia were parting company, or is that just for vid cards?

Nope...it's gonna effect chipsets too:( I hope they can work something out. Being left with only VIA for Abit AMD choices scares me.

Im much more inclined to beleve Abit marketings post than a couple of un-sourced lines on a couple of websites...

Give me an official statement from Nvidia or Abit and ill start to worry...

Has AbitMarketing come out and directly denied this? If so, I'd agree with you...but I haven't heard anything to the contrary from Abit.

BTW, the Inquirer might be a just another hyped industry rag, but Magee has indeed managed to scoop some great stories in the past. I'm just not that quick to off handidly disregard the scoops the Inq comes up with.

I dunno. He posted his response to a question of whether or not Abit would have an NF3 board. He posted on the same day the news broke accross the web. It's quite possible he knew nothing about what might have happened only recently. I know that they were indeed working on an Nvidia 939 board. We new that a few weeks back (already posted on the Abit forums). Things may have changed...who knows.

I'm not trying to start rumors or panic here. It's just one helluva interesting development if it were true.
