Just as the title says:D My wife is miserly but not cheap. She want's good but not great and practical over over excellence. I just want 1080P and 60Hz is OK for a TV this size. That's easy if the TV supports the newer 24P Cinema schemes. If money were no object, I'd go for Sony or Samsung larger than 32".

Toshiba 37RV525R 37" $514
Sony - KDL32S5100 32" $529
Toshiba 40RV525R 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV $599
VIZIO 37" VO370M 1080p LCD HDTV 60Hz $479 at Dell.com
37" SV370XVT LCD HDTV 1080P 120Hz $619

It's going to be primarily used by my wife, so it's 80% her call. The closer to $500 bucks, the better. She likes the Sony least for price to size to picture quality ratio doesn't add up. She liked the Vizio the most, costs and the Picture is not that bad! I'm quickly becoming a Toshiba Fanboy so either of those would do it for me.

So, come on guys chime in with your picks, prices and reasons why. Even if the above TV's could be found with better prices. Thanks in advance!

Have you checked out any at Costco/Sams? The return policy and warranty is a huge plus.

I'm in the same boat as you...looking for a 40" :)

Vizio is supposed to have greatly improved over the years, I have no idea about that specific model, but that seems like a great deal to me

If I recall, they're supposed to have great image quality, but lack in features to help lower the price

I have 2 Vizio tv,s.
One is a 32 inch 60hz and the other is a 47 inch 120hz.

Both have great pictures and suprising colors for LCD,s

When I bought my Toshiba 46" it was the cheapest ones displayed. It was cheaper at Best Buy than online. They saw the price cuts coming and jumped the Gun. Toshiba was already the best cheapest model out there. My wife and daughter abused the last Toshiba DVD that lived 3 times longer than the Pampered Sony that sold for about 5 times more.

Even for a refurb, this (http://news.cnet.com/8301-13845_3-10398072-58.html) one would be sweet! I know 3 owers of this model! It's one of the best 46" LCD out there IMHO.
