I have the opportunity to swap my current 920 C0 with a new D0, is it worth the effort ?

I happen to like testing out a new CPU and while my current C0 does 4GHz it takes 1.41 (load) and my D0 only needs 1.31 for 4.3 GHz. I realize this is all luck of the draw and you might get a D0 that does not clock as good but on average they are typically better than C0.

I went from a killer C0, to a killer D0, but what I found was, yes the D0 likes less voltage, it produces more heat than the C0 did. Allot of people who made the switch had the same results as well.

If you're planning on hitting 220+ bclks, go for it, if not, keep the C0.

Is the D0 you're swapping a good batch? That will probably make all the difference.

It might make a difference, might not. Personally, I wouldn't go through the hassle but that's also because my C0 clocks very nicely to 4GHz @ 1.35v. It also depends on what overclock you're getting with your C0 and at what voltage.
