I'm a newbie and I've read on the web that it's possible to unlock an AMD XP 2200+ using a conductive paint or some other material.

My first question is why doing that and my second question is where can I find explanations and pictures to see how it's done.

I will have my new A7V 333-Raid and my CPU soon. I also need some explanations about the mobo, there's issues with it and I probably need a crash cours on the free jumpers and the best mobo configuration (BIOS) for my new CPU. I will have 512 DDR on it....:)

Also what is the speed (MHz) of an 2200+ without overclocking....

Lots of questions but I do not want to make mistake with my new stuff.

My system is: (till the new mobo and CPU)

Win XP Pro
Asus A7V133
T-Bird 1.333
512 SDRAM
Maxtor 30 Gig, 7200 rpm
Maxtor 30 Gig, 7200 rpm
TNT 2 (don't play games so....)
Sound Blaster Live
DFE 538 Ethernet Card
HP 9300 burner
HP 930C printer
Creative 52x CD-ROM
Canon 122OU scanner
Desktop Theatre 5.1 Sound System
SMC Barricade Router
KDS 19" screen

Thanks for your time ;)
