I'd rather have a list of monitors with true 120hz and no scaler or one that can be bypassed... then break it down from there to IPS/etc.

there are no 120hrz monitors that are over 1680x1050, or atleast there arnt any that are out until q2 that i know of. there are tvs but they are in 16:9. i know that the samsung 120hrz lcd and led do native 120hrz input though and they are priced close to the cheap panel makers but they start at 32" so its out of my price range @ $850

Check out this site guys: http://www.prad.de/en/guide/vergleich_auswahl.html

It's a lot of info to wade through, but if you already know what size you want, it narrows the search considerably. They also do fairly extensive reviews now and then, sometimes on displays that are hard to find reviews on.

finding the panels that i can get in the US is the problem, i cant really go and import a monitor and still stay in my target budget of $300-500. then i cant get anything but dell nec and HP from my normal places (with ips) so its kinda hard to find were to get monitors

the monitors with lg's h-ips panels should be in my budget but i cant find any other than the HP thats $550

LOL, give a man a leg up and what do you get for thanks? At least with that list you can narrow down which ones are made in IPS and from there it's not hard to find if they're available in the US or not. A simple Google search of the brand and model typically shows that. At worst you may have to email the manufacturer and/or contact the nearest distributor or HQ listed on their site and ask, it's not rocket science.

I really thought e-IPS would help both consumers and manufacturers. It would be a good thing to have in a recession, especially since fewer IPS are being made. DoubleSight stopped making a 26" IPS. They had one of the last affordable ones that was good for gaming.
