Hey Guys,

I'm finally looking to watercool my rig. The specs are"

CPU: Core i7 920 Running at Stock
GPU: EVGA GTX295 Dual PCB
PSU: Corsair HX1000w
Case: Silverstone TJ07
RAM: 6Gb Corsair Dominator
MB: Evga Classified X58 3-Way SLI

I'd like to silence my rig as much as possible. Would it be possible for someone to help me pick out the best components that would give me a quiet rig. Don't worry too much about a budget for now.

I'm hoping to place the radiator in the bottom of the case, as the TJ07 has a fair bit of room there.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Get a steel case. Or one that has no direct exterior opening (that means front door, rear baffle, etc). Also get SLOW fans (<1000 RPM) and radiators designed for them (low FPI). Rubber mount everything, and decouple everything. And get a SSD ;)

My suggestion for parts:
Pump: Aquastream XT on a shoggy sandwich
Rad: Hwlabs SR-1 in whatever size(s) your case allows.
Fans: Undervolted Gentle Typhoon 1450 RPM

If you can silence your HDDs as well you should be well on your way to a near inaudible system.

By the way no need for a 1000W PSU here. 850W should be plenty enough already, unless you REALLY want to have that 2nd optional 8-pin connector for your mobo and you're doing LN2 cooling or getting another 295.

I think he already owns all these parts. He said dual PCB GTX295 and I'm pretty sure you can't get those anymore.

Yes, I do own all of the parts.

What do you guys think of these parts:
- Watercool HEATKILLER® CPU Rev3.0 1366 CPU Water Block Watercool HEATKILLER® CPU Rev3.0 1366 CPU Water Block
- Danger Den DD-GTX295 NVIDIA GeForce GTX295 Video Cards
Fitting Size 1/2" Barb for 1/2" ID tube
- Black Ice® SR1 360 Radiator Series Designed for Low Flow Fans - Black
Fitting Size 1/2" OD
- Aqua Computer Aquastream XT - Eheim USB Controlled 12V Pump - Standard Version Rev 2

Could I fit a 480 Radiator in the bottom of a TJ07 beside the HX1000W or would I need to stick to the 360 rad.

What would you guys recommend for tubing, fittings, and a reservoir (and anything else I may be missing).

Thanks for the help!

Your cooling an i7 and a GTX295? You'll NEED a 120x4 rad, no less than that. The rest of the stuff is okay, I'd look at a MCP 655 or a DDC 3.2 pump instead. Still not bad.

You already got the stuff? Well add a 120x2 for more raddage. A res? Swiftech Micro-res, cheap and effective. Primochill LRT tubing, 1/2 ID 3/4 OD. Bitspower barbs with 1/2" fittings, G1/4 threads. Some hose clamps.

You say "at stock", do you plan on overclocking? If not you could get away with less fans by using air cooling.

You can fit both a 120.4 and a 120.2 in the bottom of a TJ07 (I'm not sure if this is true with an HX1000 though), if your pump is up on the main level. I would pick up MCR rads just because they are reasonably priced. The Aquastream XT is the quietest pump out there, but it is a little pricey and OOS at a lot of places. If you want an alternative go with a D5 vario at a low setting or maybe an MCP350.

No he wont its not ocd. A 360 will do fine
