With the Radeon HD 5750 of the Go Green Series Powercolor just introduced the first DirectX 11 graphics card that doesn't need additional power supply.
Without the additional 6-pin power connector the Powercolor Radeon HD 5750 Go Green is only fed via the PCI Express slot, which delivers a maximum of 75 watt. Thus Powercolor undercuts the theoretical power consumption of the chip by about 13 percent.

Currently there is only a render picture of the box, but now information about the clock speeds or the cooling solution of the graphics card. According to the press release and the box imprint the Radeon HD 5750 Go Green has, like other 5750 cards, 1 GiByte GDDR5 VRAM and two Dual-Link DVI connectors as well as a DisplayPort. Powercolor says to be aiming for the same gaming performance level as offered by the reference design of the HD 5750 with lowered power consumption......

This actually makes a surprisingly good htpc card since it can bitstream the new audio codecs and now it's even lower power and doesnt need an extra power cable.
awesome.

I bet you're right, as nothing else makes financial sense - but I still like it!
Now if only they could fix their drivers... I would not want an Nvidia ;)

Seems like a perfect card, shame they cost more than standard models.
