Ok here is my dilemma.
Overclockability is the same with or without pencil mod on my P5K and Q9550.
3.4 is easy 3.75 on the edge.
With both I can run a lower Vcore with the mod wich results in a 1 a 2 degrees C drop at idle. But under full load the volts needs to be just a tad higher with the pencil mod to be fully stable which results in in a 5-7 degrees rise under full load.
Here are the figures
with pencil mod:
fsb400 3.4ghz Vcore 1.200bios about 55C prime
fsb440 3.75Ghz Vcore 1.250bios about 60C prime
Without pencil mod:
3.4ghz 1.250bios 50C prime
3.75ghz 1.335bios 55 prime.

At 3.4 there is not much difference except the temp
but the 1.3volt at idle (CPUz) is somewhat high (drops to 1.12V under full load).
Any thoughts????
Thanks
Vincent
