Hey all, I just received my X-25M tonight. Installed Windows 7 Build 7100. Installed Intel Chipset drivers, and ran Crystal Mark. Here are my scores:

What's up with my 4k? I'm running on the 02G9 Firmware, as I haven't updated to the newest yet. Though, I know those scores aren't right even for that firmware.

According to my device manager and bios, I should be running AHCI mode on ICH10R. Would IDE mode tank the scores this bad though?

What I've also done: Disabled Write-Cache, Disabled Disk Defrag, Disabled Hibernate & reduced the page file to 200/200.

I don't know if the partition is aligned or not, as I'm not sure on how to check that.

I'm pretty sure I just have a setting wrong somewhere, this is my first SSD so I'm more than happy to admit user-error here. Just hope you guys can give me the answer to this one.

Thanks all. :)

Okay, I think I've got this figured out now. I re-enabled Write-Cache and that seems to have solved the issue:

Boosted all the write scores. I'm reading mixed reviews on whether to keep Write-Caching enabled or not though. I'm sure this has been discussed, but what seems to be the general consensus amongst you all on Write-Caching enabled on the X-25M?

Leave it enabled, it's much faster :)
