We are uploading a version with cuda2.3.
If you have new drivers you should receive it instead of the old one. It seems to fix some problems with older cards.

Maybe this helps our brothers and sisters with the old 260s???

I should start crunching my first v6.71(cuda 2.3) WU on my GTX 285 at about 4:00 PM this afternoon. Start tracking while it has not even started yet and I will try to keep you all updated as it progresses and as it finishes. Of course I only have one sucessful GIANNI DOPI on this card whih ran 5.57 hours with shaders at 1.64. I am now running shaders at 1.62 but I think it should still be fairly close to the same time.

just a heads up, cufft 2.3 is 2x faster than previous cufft libraries but fft's are only 20% of the work. accuracy is improved too. i will update you guys if this works on gtx 260 192.

Looking forward to your report Chum, It would be nice to be able to rig up with 260's and not have to worry which you are buying

Sorry my update is late ... so far all I can say is that on both my 285 and 295, while not complete yet, they are looking good so far. Kind of hard to tell because my ambient is not particularly consitent but it does not look like temp are higher than usual.

So these could boost output?!?

Does the new app reduce wu errors?......please keep us posted :)

My GTX 295 has finished 4 WUs without error but I can't say that it is really any faster. Looks to be a smidge faster (couple or 5 minutes) on 2 WUs and actually slower on the other two but the slower ones were processing when I was using the PC myself. All results are within standard runtime curve so don't expect to see a big jump.

it still doesnt work.:brick: i got 3 hours through one of the units i had time to watch which is a new record. it failed the other work quite fast and i have reached my daily quota.

yup. fft's cant use madd though. their libs are not that fast compared to others that people have made too so their is still room for improvement. tesla systems have considerably lower clock speed and bandwidth over geforce too. i saw an AMD slide that had fft's running at 300 GFLOPs which is no surprise. srry if i ramble on about stuff.:ROTF:

I have Norton Internet Security 2010 on one of my computers and it flagged the new app as highly suspicious and quarantined it, causing multiple WU failures, locked me out for a day. I've told it to not scan that file anymore and it's running now. GRRR that's really disappointing.

did you notice any gains? or is it still the same production wise? I finally got my GTX 260-216 running like a champ @ 1637 shaders (precision shows 1620) but not on cuda 2.3. Still as stated in my other posts

For an update, has anyone seen any performance increases due to this? Any more info?

And another question b/c I couldn't find it... what do you have to do to get only 2 WUs at a time? Was it to reinstall the new Bionic or what?

I have recently noticed issues since they forced us back to cuda 2.3. In the past few weeks i am having a hard time; gpu's doing something while I'm gone at work. come home to cards running 2d clocks and only way to fix is rebooting.
