I believe its a bestbuy only brand, its got mixed reviews but for 300 bucks i think its worth it, just wanted to get a second opinion.
That depends, how often and for how long do you plan on using this tv? It has a low resolution (hell my 24" has a much higher resolution) so you won't really be able to do any HD stuff with it. Really the only advantage that probably has over a similarly sized older tv is power consumption and size. If anything, the slow refresh rate might suggest that you should just stick with a rear projection tv.
Unless if you don't have big plans for it, I would suggest spending a bit more money, that will pay off its dividends in the long run. Better to spend $100 more now than $500 later. Besides, black friday is around the corner. I'm sure you could find a much better deal then.
Like this, its not even black friday, but much better quality for $100 more

you can get a 42inch 1080p dynex for 800 bucks regular price from BB, that might help you decide if it's worth the 300
i'd say mine was worth the 800

But now toss in the cost of a wall rack and maybe some cables and possible tax and suddenly his $300 is pushing $1000. Almost any low end 720p TV would be a good improvement over an old analog crt tv. My 26" Magnavox CRT is looking so tired these days its pathetic.
