hi, i had my 5850 running 950/1300 @ 1.225V for the last 2 weeks, today i came home from work and the computer won't even boot... no post...
i can see the GFX running, the power check is fine but cant see nothing on the screen(boot stops)
for RMA i put a 7900GT on the other PCIE slot and the 5850 on the first PCIE slot and flashed to its old original bios..(atiflash can see the card)
have this happend to one of you?

..Lots of folks have been having this same issue on OCN.. a few have purchased 3x GPU's...and all have died after light-med use and just a week or two. All on stock cooling, stock voltages..just OC. Seems the 5850's might have an issue with its voltage circuitry for GPUv...

i dont think so, if they did, why have MSI invented and support OC with voltage increase via software... if they know the cards are dying after a while.. they dont want a stock of ruined 5800's...

i flashed the card to msi bios, but yesterday when i saw it won't work i flashed it(with the 7900GT on the other slot) back to the original...
can the company see that i've been flashing bioses and stuff?

i had this problem too. sometimes i just could not get posts on my p35. I took 2 gigs of ram out and it posts fine. The older boards are having an issue with these, it may or my not post, but the card is most likely NOT dead.
