Where to put hard drives?

So I have the A77b case. I have on order a 120.3 XSPC radiator. Now I have to move two hard drives out of the fron because it will use the space. Anyone have a good solution for a place to put them? Looking for something cool or out of the norm.

I'm assuming the A77b is the same thing as the PC-A77? If so, there's a HD cage in the back, at the top. Sorry that this isn't "out of the norm", but it'll work just fine.

Yeah it's the PC-A77 but in black. The hdd cage at the top in the rear is gone to make room for other things. I have two mounted to the side of the 5.25 tower. But no room for two more. To make things worse they are 15k sas drives. They get hot. I thought I had enough room for everything when I bought this case. I am sure I would if I wasen't dead set on putting the radiator in the front.

I suggest he do what D0BR0 did in his case and mount the hard disks on their side like this:

what about the motherboard side of the 5.25 tower? Also the case is aluminum, so u could try to heatsink to the case.

Yeah its a full tower. I do mount two drives to one side of the 5.25 bays like the above picture. I don't know how the 15k sas drives will like it without a fan blowing on them. I guess if they die then i have a good reason to go ssd. I need to get to work on building my case so that I don't have these problems.

I agree with shoopdawoopa, the mountainmods brackets are your best bet. They will place the drives right in front of a fan, not to mention is far more elegant than screwing them to the side of the drive bays,

The A7010 and A77 are virtually identical. If you got this panel, you would have to either drill holes for the power and reset, or do like I did and relocate them. My motivation for getting this may have been a little stronger than yours though, because I have 2 XSPC res/pumps and they occupy 4 of the front bays. Combined with top and bottom mounted rads, both of which are in push/pull configuration, I simply don't have room for a front mounted rad. I pulled the hd cage and kept one of the cross supports. I drilled holes in it and hung my 3 raptors from it. They've been running fine for about a year and without a fan directly on them.(I guess if you got the replacement top panel you wouldn't have to remove the hd cage. You're not as restricted on front space like I was.)

Another idea I'd had was running an L bar accross the case from the top supports and hanging the hds from there. Never did it though.

Edit: I didn't notice right away that you were "dead set" on front mount. (too bad. personally, I think that top panel looks pretty slick)
Maybe use the gfx support bar in some way? There's just enough material on the sides that I mounted a res to it, but a hd might be too much.

That is a nice setup. But with a dual 5.25 res and 120.3 radiator I am out of room in the front of the case.

Then you can ghetto it.

use hair rubber bands, the thick ones.

Then Tie it behind your radiator.

No offence but I don't think I want to rubber band 500.00 in hard drives to the radiator.

I think I am just going to mount them to the side for now. I am starting a custom built case this weekend. They should be ok untill it's built.

Your rad would be in front of the HD's.
The rubber band goes from one side of your bay to the other.
Use thick rubber bands, or the elastic ones you use for your hair, as those dont snap over time.

But thats how we used to ghetto style it in the front bay b4 we got spoiled by Un Designs and Bitspower.

OK I see what you are talking about now. The still wont work though. With the rad air box and fans I dont have any room left.
