Guitar Hero help

So I'm looking to buy Guitar Hero for the kids but Iam a little confused. I already picked up Guitar Hero World Tour kit it came with the guitar and game. So now the plan was to pick-up the Guitar Hero 5 kit. So the question is there any difference between the Guitars can they play both games with both guitars? Thanks Guys!

the guitar hero 4 and 5 are the same electronics (different buttons, the gh5 is better) but if u get a GH3 controller that wont work with the latter games, so u can play and hero game on them and rock band 2 or latter (rock band 1 had problems with GH controllers on the wii but i dont remember if it was fixed).

So what other guitar is the same as GH4? Is GH aerosmith the same? I just need the 2nd guitar for the cheapest way possible. I only paid $30 for GH4. I reallly want the 2nd guitar to be the same buttons and I saw aerosmith for $25. I don't really want to pay the $99 for gh5

GH aerosmith is the same as 3, the guitar from that will not work with 4 or 5 on the WII, u will need to get a GH 4 or 5 or band hero guitar. if u got the one from rock band 2 i think that it works with GH 4 and 5 but the rock band guitars suck

Well in that case I should just go back and get another gh4 kit for $30 and throw out the extra disc. thanks for the help!
