With the coolant problem behind me, I got a question to ask.
The problem Im having is the first time I filled the res I had a leak on the bottom thread area of EK res 250 ( the acrylic cylinder with the bottom piece) so I unscrewed it, and re-tighten it.

Well now it doesn't leak, but the coolant gets through the threads , and I don't know if that's normal. Should I maybe use some Teflon tape, or it wont be necessary? Just want to be sure ,don't want to see it leak a week or a month in the future. I checked some peoples gallery pictures and I see most do have coolant go through the threads, so this is why Im concerned.

The sealing o-ring is after the threads.
If you check the top you will see the same and should enlighten the situation.

Yes, I have it tight and the O-ring does its job, just thought the threads would be more tight, as the coolant passes through them in some spots but its stopped by the O-ring.
It doesn't leak after 24 hour test so I guess its fine, just wanted to see others thought on this.

Same here, coolant goes into the thread but no leaks.

Don't worry, it's fine. ;)

That got me wondering the first time also :)

BSPP threads are designed to let the o-ring do the work of sealing. The threads are merely there to hold the parts together.
