Nope the red and silver are both aluminum. Only the brass one is brass ;)

How old are they? I had one from like 2003-2004 and it was aluminum. They replaced them later with delrin ones.

Actually, DD hasn't replaced anything with their fillports. They still make the alu. versions and also make a Delrin version.

Alu fillport. (http://www.dangerden.com/store/danger-den-fillport.html)

Delrin fillport. (http://www.dangerden.com/store/delrin-fillport.html)

Brass fillport. (http://www.dangerden.com/store/brass-fillport.html)

Now, my question is how is the alu. fillport causing corrosion in your loop unless you've got your cooling fluid up to the fillport all the time? Just curious.....because I'm using one and it certainly isn't causing corrosion anywhere in my loop. Then again, the fillport just sort of sits there, high and dry, only coming into contact with coolant when I have to top off my loop.

I had the exact same problem with an aluminum one before. The condensation from the loop up the fill line has enough moisture to corrode the fillport. I only get the brass ones now.

Bingo. I had a silver anodized one corrode in exactly this manner about 4 years ago (or thereabouts).

And since I have a BP fillport, through which I poured 100% of my water on multiple fills, I was thinking my stuff was corroding every time I filled. Then I followed the links, and seeing the big "DANGERDEN" banner at top made it finally click. Phew. Not that there was any danger to begin with, I'm just stupid.:ROTF:

I thought they replaced it, but they added more colors instead and the added colors made me think they got rid of the aluminum one.

After the aluminum one I had corroded my entire loop, I just decided to never get another DD part.
