OK, so your answer is no. I was checking out Newegg yesterday and while they had none in stock, the various products had ETA's of 11/9, 11/11, 11/16, 11/20.

I got two Sapphire 5870s. They were DOA, sent them back to the shop, no replacements available. 2 weeks and I am still waiting for these cards to show up :(.

I doubt you'll be lucky finding one until stock issues are resolved or demand drops. I couldn't get a hold of one on Newegg... eventually bought a slightly used one for $370.

Really? REALLY?

Not everyone has the same buying habits. Some people like to (and have the funds available) to have the best parts.

Doesn't mean that you need to mock them about it.

The point here, is that he basically is -$800 because of the current HD58xx situation.

I'm also dying to get my hands on an HD5870 (yes it will replace my HD4870x2, due to almost similar performance but much lower idle power consumption. Then there is the whole issue about no crossfire support, until drivers support it in certain games) but no matter where I look I can't find any. I have been looking now since the first reviews. Availability is set to be late November early December.:(:(:(:(:(:(

Do Whaaaaaaaaaaat. Man i hope i dont kick out for the absolute best video cards, and then cant use them. I don't remember SLI being crippled when new nvidia cards came out. Maybe i aughta get 3 gtx 285s, plus a 9800gt for phys x. When the Egg gets the 5870's in stock, i planned on gettin 3 of em and a triplehead2go with 3 22" monitors. With a resolution of 5040 x 1050 , i am definitely gonna need crossfire or SLI support.

You don't need the Triple Head2 Go with ATI 5XXX do you?

from what i read, eyefinity is only workin with 1 card . Does not work in crossfire config. It sure would be great if i was wrong.

can you guys stay on topic?

Well I sure do hope that ATI gets eyefinity to work on crossfire. I would assume that eyefinity for crossfire should be working in the next driver update as the 5970 AKA (5870x2) is crossfire on 1 card and should support eyefinity and the NDA is up on the 5970 Nov.19th I hear. Unless the eyefinity part of the 5970 is broken "Shrug".

Sorry for going off topic.

And how about UK, anyone has 5850 in stock? ( novatech doesn't count they're trying to rob people with their prices).

That's why they've re branded the cards. They are now called ATI Novatech 5850 :/ Mofos

Huh, I can see that they've sold them out now, price was £250 robbery in day light.

Oh my oh my, why did I sell my card to my brother, naive me.

The lack of cards is due to TSMC having crappy 50% yields on 40nm high performance silicon.

Best way is to check email frequently since when you use the Auto Notify option, once you get the email you just have to jump to the website immediately since they'll be gone within like 5-10 mins.

http://www.semiaccurate.com/ has an article suggesting 15th Dec expected improvement to supply. Problems blamed on chamber mismatch. Charlie D is speculating either gross incompetance or some kind of sabotage @TSMC !

Well 5970's should be out in a few days. Maybe i'll just go with 2 5970's instead of 3 5870's.
