Summary:

2011 desktop platform

* Enthusiast platform Scorpius (>95W):
CPU: Zambezi >= 4 cores @ 32 nm
Chipset: RD890+SB8xx
GPU: Northern Islands @ 32 nm (*hugs Charlie*)

* Mainstream platform Lynx (45-95W):
Llano APU: STARS Core+Integrated GPU+Integrated PCIe Gen 2 @ 32 nm
Chipset: Hudson-D series southbridge (Hudson for Desktop)
IGP: DirectX 11, UVD 3.0
Discrete GPU: Northern Islands @ 32 nm

2011 notebook platform

* Mainstream and Ultrathin platform Sabine (>35W, µPGA for Mainstream platform; 20-35W, BGA for ultrathin platform):
Llano APU: STARS Core+Integrated GPU+Integrated PCIe Gen 2 @ 32 nm
Chipset: Hudson series southbridge
IGP: DirectX 11, UVD 3.0
Discrete GPU: Northern Islands @ 32 nm
Battery life: >7 Hours

* And a platform Brazos (<20W, BGA, for new markets, targeting both desktops* and notebooks*):
Ontario APU: Up to 2 Bobcat cores @ 4x nm (too blurry, I would guess 40 nm)
Chipset: Hudson series southbridge
IGP: DirectX 11, UVD 3.0
Discrete GPU: Northern Islands @ 32 nm
Battery life: >7 Hours

And from that presentation, Manhattan (probably named "Mobility Radeon HD 5000 series") which is due 2010 is 32 nm. Now that's a surprise.
And notice the fabrication process used for Evergreen family is omitted from the roadmap...
While the codename Bobcat appears once again, and referred to as a "CPU core", does this mean the return of "old Bobcat"?

Well, AMD Japan just spilled the beans. Guesstimations/estimations go ahead!

*Note: read nettops and netbooks.

Bobcat low power APU is alive and will be done at bulk 40 or 45nm node!It will be targeted for nettops and netbooks.
Also there is a familiar name of Scorpius(platform) consisting of Zambezzi CPU which is Bulldozer class cores and new Northern Islands 32nm GPU tech. Looks like AMD will also make the N.Islands(GPU) and Ontario/Llano(Bobcat and Stars class cores) products in GloFo,sorta in-house production :). Interesting times ahead.

that would mean Thuban should be out in Noverber ? with C3 stepping coming out on the 4th of Nov ... ? :wth: and that's if evergreen is the 5870x2/5970 or what ever they decide.

hhmmm seem just like the deneb release now that I think about it.

Evergreen is Hemlock, Cypress, Juniper and all the other 5000-series cards - it's the family. Looking at the pictures and seeing ATI 7XX and 40nm together doesn't seem right but there are 4770 so..

Don't get where you're getting the november date from even though the 5th (?) is the end of NDA on C3 (*chew said wait five days). Don't think Thuban will make it's appearance the 5th though. Only C3 X4 965 and maybe 975?

So no 32nm from AMD until 2011?

No surprise there, AMD has been saying that for a year now. GlobalFoundries has said that their 32 nm SOI node would be ready for production by the end of 2010 and AMD will have CPU's just a little later (2011).

Pretty sure Dirk Meyer stated 32nm will be late 2010. But Intel ramps their new process tech slower than AMD, so the lag time is not as bad as it sounds. Still it does put AMD at a cost and potentially heat/power disadvantage.

Yes that's correct.Meyer said Q4 2010 for Llano(10h @ 32nm + GPU integrated) and this will be the first 32nm product that will come out from AMD's kitchen(publicly;they will have bulldozer taped out early next year,or maybe even this year).

happy that Zambezi will support RD890+SB8xx, but i want something 100% that if i buy the top RD890+SB8xx it will be compatible with bulldozer!!!

Wonder what N. Island for gpus is... tsmc 32nm or global foundries 32nm?

I think most GPUs are going to TSMC? I guess if GF could meet the production, but I dont think so.

Northern Island are 32nm@GF.
