Given you are using a dual core and a S775 platform, I will say you should be safe. That psu has 18amp each on 4 12v rails so that is sufficient. I'd be totally comfortable saying 2 5850s would be fine but for the sake of headroom, I would suggest a quality 750+ unit for 2 5870s (my nod would go to the corsair HX750-850) If you do decide to upgrade your platform to i5/i7 down the road, you'll have some growing room to accommodate the added power draw. For reference I ran a 4870x2 and a Q6600 a 3.6 on a X48 board for 6 months with this 625watt Enermax (was on ATIs certified 4870x2 compatibility list; I don't believe an extensive hd5000 series list is compiled yet).

Also don't forget to account for the age of your current psu. They slowly degrade over time and if it has been in frequent use over 2 years, for the sake of playing it safe, it wouldn't hurt to get a new one ( with 8pin connectors for convenience )
