When you're at work, get the Auto-Notify, then immediately get sidetracked by the ins and outs of business and the tomfoolery of inept jackasses, then finally get back to newegg, uh, yeah, it can take that long! :mad:

It is getting really irritating catching 5870s in stock. I wish I had just ordered at launch. But noooo. "I'll wait, prices will drop!" Right. Screw me ><
Ordering as soon as Sapphire or XFX comes in stock. Even if it's during a class.

THis might be a case when Pre Ordering is a better alternative to waiting for stock to show up.

ROFL... so True!!!! I got one off the Egg after ZipZoomfly Charged me but never shipped. You have to camp out on the Egg to get one.

There's still little concrete info about when or how much the 5870x2 will launch. $400 is really my limit, and I shouldn't spend that much.

The XFX's just sold out - ONLY 5 MINUTES after the AUTO NOTIFY!
You're right, I might as well pre-order somewhere else, but I was so looking forward to 12 month interest free financing (I love using other people's money!).

I saw the "add to cart" button light up for that ASUS 5850 yesterday. I immediately clicked on it and it said "this item has been removed from your cart... blah, blah, blah.
It appears they're getting only one or two in at a time. And with all the trolls tapping F5 all day long, it's like playing wack-a-mole.

You guys should just wait for the 5870X2 launch at this point, and get it as soon as it becomes available.
For (probably) $600? I'll pass.

I find it very hard to believe a 5870X2 will be only $100 more than a 5870 is now.

it's slated for $500 in the press deck. But with the prices going up on the 5850 & 5870, it might go for more $550-600 now...

The 5890 is going to fall very close to the price of two 5850's as most rumors suggest that it's basically going to be dual 5850's GPU's.

I got damn lucky when I got my ASUS 5850's. When I ordered them, it said limit of 99 per customer, so I thought they must have plenty. Within a couple hours, they were all gone.

I'm waiting to purchase 2 x 5870 cards for my setup...and matter of fact thats all i'm waiting on. the auto notify screwed me up two days ago and friday. i was at work so by the time i actually got to newegg to purchase they were all gone again. whats freaking bad is I already have the 5870 waterblock....so if the 5890s come out I'm praying that the same blocks fit...but I'm betting they won't............ :(

I don't know how valid or "Good" the site is, never ordered from them before, but xpcgear had the 5870s in stock, so I placed my order....
I looked the site over and it seems ok, I think I will get my order and they did have them in stock.

I have ordered fro them before with no problems.
