Hey guys,
I've googled here and googled there and can't find any good answer.
Since there are tons of ppl here with 5870's maybe someone can help:
Fresh install windows 7
ATI 5800 series drivers
Initially CCC and 3dmark06/Vantage/etc. work great.
Then after some windows updates the card's 3d driver seems to be lost.
Get a video loss when I try to run 3dmark06/Vantage, and a BSOD when I try to reinstall the drivers.
Reinstalled windows 7 3 times already, same result - works initially but fails later
I've tried uninstalling the C++ 2008 update, reinstalling the C++ 2005 SP1, to no avail.
Pretty sure it must be some Visual C+++ or runtime or net framework error somewhere but can't locate it.
Just seems like the CCC/ATI 3d drivers work fine initially then Windows 7 loses the driver.
This can't be just me - anyone else?
