View Full Version : Any HD 5870 AVIVO (video in/out) cards planned?

I'm holding out on upgrading to a 5870 because I want one with Audio Video In Video Out (AVIVO). My old 2900XT had it and I miss it a lot since I hook up my gaming consoles to my computer. My current 4870 doesn't have it and the capability is conspicuously absent.
Have any of you come across news about AVIVO 5870 series cards?

Quick question, how did you get the video input? What program did you use?

I had a Diamond 2900XT with video in. Not all cards had it. Back during the 2xxx and 3xxx series they used to make them. Didn't look for a 4xxx series with video in, but now I miss it.

Yeah my Rage Fury Pro had it...it was one hell of a powerhouse...encoded 640x480 at about 3000 kbps. I miss AVIVO.

The high end AIW cards are dead. Don't look for it in the 5800 series either.
