I was wondering if it's possible put put my XFX Radeon 4870 1GB in crossfire with my old Sapphire 2600 512MB GDDR3 somehow. This is the 2600: http://www.dclstore.co.uk/images/products/...10-00-20r-l.jpg

Is there any way in hell those 2 will do anything in crossfire?? Or is it a lost cause.

Nope, lost cause, you wouldn't want to do it either.

you can do it but its not recommended. from what i understand about multi-gpu AFR is bottlenecked by the slowest card so it would be like 2600 xfire.

On your side i would try it and look about if you have better frames or not. But i couldn't imagine that this project gives you an advance. It's better to play alone with the 4870.

4870 can only do crossfire with the 4890, 4870, and 4850...everything else wont work.
