Alright guys, I decided to finally start benchmarking my machine to see what it would do. I ran AquaMark3 just now on my comp at stock speeds and stock video to get some baselines. I'm running 3DMark03 now. Here's the kicker...I only scored 25K in AquaMark w/ my 2.8 and G9600Pro. I'm really scared of what 3Dmark will turn up with, with Aqua that low. Why are my scores so low, I know that I shouldn't expect high scores, but I expected better with a 9600Pro.

Remember...It's all "stock" and nothing has been changed on the CPU or Video for these runs. Please help, I want my scores to be somewhat respectable.

I dont know aquamark, but you should get about 2800-3000 in 2003 stock and like 3500 overclocked. depending on how fast your cpu is, you could get anywhere from 9 to 15k in 2001

damn, I was hoping for some better numbers than that. Oh well...time to order a 9800XT and OC the chip back to 3.8GHz. That should help some.

Yeah you should be getting 30-35k I think (overclocked GPU).

What puzzled me so much about this whole thing was this...

My Mom has a brand new Dell; 2.8GHz and 256MB RAM that scored 35K on Aquamark. It scored almost 1000 points higher on 3DMark03. My 3DMark score was 3100, hers was 3900, WTF??

I updated my drivers, still didn't help. What could be holding me back so?

Well, i got it pretty much figured out...seems that new dell came with a 9800 in it. I'm not sure if it's the pro or not, but it's better than my 9600Pro. Oh well...I ordered a 9800XT today, should be here by the end of the week.
