I read the guide, closed the L3 #5 bridge, it still posts only every 10-15 times, cant get to windows. I have latest bios, 9n i think for that board. If you want to know anything else to help me out just email me or post it here. Somebody please help me, i think my computers gone crazy, POS board probably, worked fine with my 2100. I just cant figure it out, if i unlocked it and that trick wored for everyone else.
I think the version of my board is 1.0, i emailed tech@abit and requested info to see if they would let me RMA for a later version, still waiting to hear back from them .

Not sure, hows those temps??
You could try the Pin mod and see if you get a better connection, mayby the L3 conection isn't solid.

It seems that your L3 modification might not be making a perfect connection between the dots due to you mentioning that it is intermittent.

i was using a circuit works pen and the "U" didnt work for me. i ended up filling the pit with superglue and connecting the posts like an xp. that was the only way i could get it to unlock.

incase of rma since you only have one pit just dip a q-tip in nail polish remover and place it on the superglue for about a minute.... use a pin and pop glue right out.

I've completed the unlocking of my 2200+ cpu on my KR7A RAID and used the same kit you did. I didn't experience any problems other than you won't be able to make use of the full 1.8Ghz unless you overclock the fsb. The reason is if you select 2100+/2200+ from the SoftMenu pulldown, the stepping selects >x13. This results in a no-boot when you reboot. I had to use different settings to get the 1.8ghz and finally ended up at 150x12.5 for 1.875Ghz. The downside is you can't set the performance to fast or ultra, nor tweak the memory timings. Now it could mean that my Samsung memory that did work under 1800+, is not good enough for the 2200+. It also could be that if I set the fsb back to 133x12.5, I might be able to tweak the memory and set to Ultra. I might try that later, but I'm not sure what performance hit I will take.

I just wanted to tell you that another guy with the same components was able to unlock that cpu!!! Good luck!!
