T-Mobile has been coming up with some tactics to put them in the #3 spot, surpassing Sprint. It is called Project Black, or, internally, Project Dark.
It has been rumored to consist of a few things:

-21mbps 3g connectivity.
-T-Mobile Bold 9700, some more Android phones, Nokia N900 along with another Nokia handset.
-$50 Unlimited Everything Plan, including Voice, Messaging, AND Data.

For the US, this is a pretty aggressive strategy they have lined up.

Nice. I been with T-Mobile for quite some time. If this is true, say goodbye to my home phone and maybe my work cell.

There are a number of very exciting things coming from T-Mobile starting very soon.

I wouldn't expect to see HSPA(+) from anyone right away.

edit:

Yeah, just dont ever get a Tmobile sidekick.

i blame microsoft

Phones: what new phones?...

Maybe there's more to come? I don't see any details regarding 3G coverage/speed increases either. wtf t-mobile
