Is there really a benefit to having a 9800gt as a dedicated physx card? or is that mostly for show? i have a gtx 295, and i would like to know if i would really see a huge benefit from having a 9800gt for a physx card...

thanks!

Im seeing a pretty good increase in fps if you have a physx card... but using a gtx 295... will i really see that HUGE of a difference?

thanks!

I have read a few reviews that say you will basically see no improvement with a 9800GT if you already have a GTX 285/295. The debate seems to be at the GTX 260/275 range. I have a GTX 275 and have been debating between adding a 9800GT or just going 275 sli.

well you can get a nice 9800gt on ebay for cheap. my question is regarding the 295... i dont want to spend alot to see like 1-2fps improvement.... anyone have personal experience?

Considering 2 x GTX280 is better than a GTX295 I'd say go for it ;)

a single 295 wil get beat by 285,s yes(barely) but....more heat, more slots wasting ALL your mobo/case room, more money.and i would much rather have quad sli only taking 2 slots vs tri sli.yes u can go quad sli 285,s for like $1,200 in 285,s and another $500 for a mobo....295 ftw hands down.there is no question here.

I wonder if a 9800 gx2 would even be a help? But man them cards run stupid hot. They should have came with a grill adapter to hook to the top, so you can bbq while you play.

agreed, would be nice sometimes. especially in the winter when its cold, you can warm your hands over your card...
