Is it possible to buy the mounting kits seperately for these blocks. The blurb says so but I haven't seen any for sale. I might want to flip my 775 to 1156.
"The modular design allows easy opening of the HEATKILLER®, the change of the mounting plate to allow installation on another socket is done easily and quickly...."

do you even know of a store that sells the mounts?

I think people who have LGA775 are screwed on LGA1366 because everywhere ive checked doesnt sell mounts for them.

That was the question! I did come across this link (http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/hk1366mount.html) the EVGA has 775 holes for the 1156 but it doesn't sit well for some blocks methinks.

I know that Sinderwinder carries the 775 and 1366 mounting kits for the HK. Wonder if HK makes the 1156 mounting kits if he will carry them.

1156 mounting kits, blocks and backplates are on Watercool's website. I'm sure Gary will get them in eventually.

Just a tip. You may find that the mounting plates in the copper version are stuck in there pretty firmly. To remove or seat them completely, lightly tap the plates with a plastic mallet.

I've emailed watercool in Germany to see what they say.

I was googling and I found my own thread lol is there a word for that? I think their whole marketing "The modular design allows easy opening of the HEATKILLER®, the change of the mounting plate to allow installation on another socket is done easily and quickly...." is a crock of dudu. The only place I can see the mounting kits for sale are on their homesite and http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/hk1366mount.html. Ironically it is cheaper to import it into the UK from the US than from Germany:mad: Heatkiller don't deem it necessary to respond to email queries:shrug: Rant over!!

I talked to Gary about this a while back. He forgot to order the kit when he ordered his last HK order. IIRC it was over a month ago. You could e-mail Gary and find out when he plans another order as I assume he will order them then. :)
