OK, I have (3) BFG Tech GTX 260 OC cards. 216 core, 65nm die. Frankly I've had no issues with them, and they seemed to have OC'd nicely. I am playing around with the clocks on these cards, and have hit the ceiling without adjusting voltages. I think I have room to go, for the maximum temp I got on OCCT GPU test was 67c. I just need more juice.
Looks like the easiest method to increase voltages out there is with the EVGA GPU Voltage Tuner, but unfortunately it seems to be proprietary to EVGA cards only and will not recognize my BFG Tech card.
I have a couple of questions I wanted to ask...
1) Can my cards' voltages be adjusted with software, or do I need to do a hard mod? The model number for my cards is BFGEGTX260MC896OCE (newegg link http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814143155).
2) If it can be soft modded, what is the best program to do it? I tried nibitor, but it didn't seem to recognize my cards. Tried the Performance Group under the nvidia Control Panel, but the GPU voltages were greyed out.
Thanks in advance for your help, :)
