does there exist any nice blocks for RAM?
I've seen only these:

any copper ones, maybe thin enough to cool a full block of dimms?

there's some custom ones, but other than that, OCZ has some integrated ones with their FLEX model.

edit: i just remembered corsair just release one too, but it's pretty fugly.

i hear mips makes one i think its mips

This one from MIPS just seems silly..

ideal would be like this but copper instead of stainless steel

OCZ flex looks cool indeed.. ouch though $$$
edit: according to the reviews on newegg these blocks are alu and there are reports of leaking issues!

the mips is the most pointless thing I've ever seen.

Yep, the heatsink is made with alu, and water get in contact with it.

Not a good choise really. :shakes:

Also is useless to watercool ram, with a decent heatsink and a little air flow in the case you should be fine

the reason there are no good commercial blocks is ram doesn't need water cooling, just a well positioned fan.

RAM blocks are useless these days. Back in the BH5 days they may have made sense from a heat standpoint, but not today. Cool air is all that is needed, even for the most extreme sets.

^ +1 to this...

Unless u cant get a fan anywhere near your ram, i honestly think a ram block is pointless.

And im running 12gb's of DDR3.

Agree. Running 12gb here and with zero airflow would get seriously toasty, a bit of airflow over it and its as cool as anything now. Was thinking about getting a block for it just to avoid having any more fans but in the end got the Dominator RAM cooler and set it to run at 50% speed on fan controller and it works a treat.

previously just had a 120mm fan facing towards the RAM and that did the trick too

You might not need it and it might not be cost effective but it sure looks good.......he said justifying his OCZ flex and Koolance memory blocks.

The ones by MIPS are the best looking, IMO. Aqua Computer also make a nice RAM cooler: Link (http://shop.aquacomputer.de/product_info.php?products_id=2292).

As for how the water flows through/amount of cooling area: Who cares? It's not like RAM really needs extra cooling.

so RAM probably doesn't NEED watercooling, but in my case airflow is just not gonna happen.. I have two internal radiators pulling from the front and back and one fan exhausting the super hot air out the side.

when I run my torture test (linx, prime95, furmark, hdspeed) it will run for about 10 hours before locking up. I suspect it's the RAM temp as the other important chips are accounted for.

uhm start by doin sum wire management o.o;; Edit: what about reversing the fans.. hot air out cold air in.. won't kill the cooling from the rads...also you can probably put a side panel fan with a cut out and wire grill over the ram as an intake.

+1 from me too.

And after seeing that pic of your system... GREAT GOOGLEY MOOGLEY... Cable management, good sir, cable management!!

Perhaps you could mod a blowhole and mount a fan on the top of your case between the optical drive and PSU?
