There was a update to the Linux and now Windows programs. Some bug fixes involved. Both my PCs are now getting a max of 2 WUs again instead of 6. Also a roll back from CUDA 2.3 to 2.2.

was the rollback for the 260's? i think the problem was you had to use 190 drivers but the gtx260 has some kind of bug with 2.3 so you cant really do anything to get it working. i will see if this makes a change and i will update you guys.

Is there anything we need to do? Anything to DL or does it go into effect automatically? I looked at the link and didn't see anything...

It was auto. WUs now come with (cuda) instead of (cuda23) at the end.

Sweet! (no need to get my monitor working for a little longer then. :p:)

There were and I guess are still some problems with SOME 260's. I have 2 GTX 260s 216 that have never had a failed WU.

Got interrupted.

They said they went to 2.3 to see if it would help with the problem with some GTX 260s and it did not help. Why they are going back to 2.2 I dunno but this change did include some bug fixes so sounds like a good thing. I am now back to getting 2 WUs at a time instead of 6 and won't have to keep switching on and off the "No new tasks" button.

The 'no-more-10-WU-thing' makes me really happy... atleast I hope it's fixed, I still have 10, but I guess I just need to burn through these first and it'll take effect...?

Next time you download a WU it should also pull the 2.2 CUDA libs and v668 app exe. It should then start using them for all new WU's, (even the 10 that were downloaded before the libs and exe).

Well, I'm kind of glad they've decided to stick with CUDA 2.2 and the 185.xx.xx series drivers for the moment. Apart from the fact that the 185's are the current release version (for Linux) and not a BETA, I've seen a couple of lockups that seem to happen with 190, but not with 185.

So I am still gettting 10 WUs at a time... any idea how to get this lowered? (6 at a time and I could get done within 48 hours, maybe even 8, but 10 there is no possible way...)

IDK... I'm running bionics 6.5.0 with the 190.38 drivers. It says cuda (not cuda 2.3) so there is a change there, but every time it completes one it just dls another...

Otis: In Advanced->Preferences->Network Usage->Work Buffer do you have it set low like 0.10? Which translates to "don't give me a bunch at once, I'll pick bananas one-at-a-time".

Shadow: Did you chmod the program files to have execute rights? Do you start ./bionc with sudo prepended? Also, I never had any luck starting it with those self-created scripts.

Yeah Palidin, I tried that and it didn't seem to affect GPUGrid... And I also don't want to set it below 1 day as I do WCG on it also and the internet goes out for long periods some time. Figure it's better to get more science done and take a point penalty when I can't avoid it than the other way around.
