View Full Version : Rampage II Gene - strange high frequency noise??

Yesterday I received all my new parts for my PC except GPU. I've put together everything and push the PSU button from 0 to 1. After a while I notice quiet high frequency noise probably coming prom my motherboard. Then I switched PSU back to 0 and noise was still present - for about 10-15 seconds (until LED's on buttons START and RESET were on). This now happens everytime when i turn on PSU (not the hole PC just PSU).

Is this normal? Should I replace motherboard?

hmmmm may be the motherboard need to RMA or noise may be come from PSU

RMA -> returning it to the store and replace it??

No PSU is not the reason I think. I dissassembled PC and connect only my PSU to wall socket and turn it on (from 0 to 1) and there was no noise, when I plug it via 24 and 8 pin connector to MB this strange noise is back again.
