Atm im running a Ek supreme on my cpu (550BE @ 4 cores) and 2x240mm gt silent radiators with a hydor l30. I just bought a used 4870x2 for cheap so im thinking of adding it to the loop. So i have some questions about it :)

First, what water block should i use? Im going for fullcover.
What temps is ot be expected?
Is my radiators going to be able to handle the load? ( im running 2 yate loons 1500rpm on each radiator)
Will my hydor l30 be able to handle it all or should i get a new one, if i need a new one what should i get? I want it to be pretty silent, not dead silent but not louder than my l30.

The EK fullcoverblock would be my first choice, they look great and are not too restrictive. I don't know about temps but my 4870 single core with an EK fullcoverblock idles around 32ºC in a 22ºC ambient and reaches max 38ºC under load. (ati tool)

The Hydor pump is a bit outdated and pretty unreliable.

Get a Laing DDC+ or a laing D5, the D5 can be switched to lower rpm to reduce noise, the DDC+ is pretty silent if you mount it well. (decoupled)

Good luck ;)

Is it this you mean? http://www.aquatuning.de/product_info.php/info/p1020_Laing-DDC-Pumpe-12V-Ultra.html

How do you mount it "well" ? Ive looked some at the HK fullcover wich is cheapest :p:

EK makes some nice blocks, but it seems all the FC blocks perform pretty close to each other, so which ever you like will work.

I'm not certain about your pump, but you can always give it a try and watch your temps. if you want, you can get a vario D5 or a DDC with an EK top.

You should have enough rad to handle everything.

As long as it fits your card it should be fine. That pump should be fine also.

You might want to stay away from AquaTuning though, read here: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=226794&highlight=aquatuning

I'm not fimiliar with the Europe sites, so I'll link from american sites and wait from the overseas guys to get on and help you with the shops. The American shops will ship there though.

top. (http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/ekwaekx.html)

That HK VGA would be fine, but you have to make certain it fits your card. Which 4870x2 do you have?

Ah okey well thx for the tip :).

I have a XFX 4870x2 2gb. running 750/900.

Would i see any change in performance if i run 12mm hose or 10mm hose?

Tubing size is not a huge issue when it comes to performance. A thicker sidewall is better for resisting kinks though. Get what ever you like better.

As no one has answered back on the 4870x2, check with the store on if it fits.

I'm not certain if it does
