Waste of space 2x5870s are faster. and the power required to run all those cards sheesh lol
not to mention 4way sly wont scale very well at all.

Seriously, I don't want to start a dog pile, but damn.... OCZ Gamxtreme 850W PSU... more like Three times that. Don't you want to run anything else on your board i.e. TV tuner, Audiocard. This is serious enthusiast though, I'll give you that. Now you have to follow-up and show how you're going to power that up. Your going to setting off house/apartment breakers when that sucker starts up. Better hope you don't firre that up during a thunderstorm..bc :smoke: :explode:

Sweet to look at but it would take 2x1200 watt PSU's to power that thing.

Cool looking? Yes.
Cool running? No.
:D

I bet the top and middle cards run a little warm, hell i bet they all do:eek:

If you could channel the heat from them puppies you could probably weld
high tensile steel.
Is EVGA going to be a competitor to lincoln?

i wish it was my system:P lol

but i honestly think this is just for a few benchies and that's it, of course once the 5870 is out it will pwn this setup...the 5870 is actually looking like it will come out very nice!

So they would use around 750 watts by themselves. You could probably survive with a 1000 watt PSU :D

I have an idea! use some pelts and water cool their hot sides... except leave them turned off so they produce power instead lol. Maybe then you can overclock them without maxing out your wall socket.

I think it looks good too...

A single 295 is faster than a 5870, so I think the (4) 285's would also be faster than (2) 5870's... But maybe not with quad scaling issues?

Looking mostly at 1920x1200 (My res) and 4xAA, and 8XAF.

Ya have to say, the (4) 285's just look like a folding monster rig... :)

Easy on the eye too...

The 5870 wins 8/14 of those benchmarks at those settings. Overall the 5870 is expected to come in 10% above a GTX295.

Edit: Just noticed the card you're running. What a coincidence!

I count (10) for the 295, and (2) 5870..

(2) split... for 1920x1200, and as close to 4XAA, 8XAF as I can get.

Yes, and am bold, and put it right in my sig. :)

I wish more would do the same...

that machine will rape in F@H vs HD5870X2. :T

Unless ATi made the new HD5870 more F@H friendly.

its more of a software issue now. although they wouldnt of had this problem if they had LDS memory before 48xx series.gpu3 will increase ppd a lot for 48xx and up.

How hell that MIO lines connected in 4-way SLI bridge?

Can't understand that. I thought that last card must have connection to first , to make a ring...but...?

I think Shamino knows :D
