New M-Arch from ati/nvidia release dates ?

Hey guys, its been a long time :D

Working alot now, and Im out of time to do research about PC hardware like I used to.

I wanna know when are the new gen (new architecture, not based on gtx280 or hd4870) cards comming ?

I ask this because I wanna sell my 4850 before that happens...It will ruin its re-sale price. That way I can ugrade to the next gen without spending alot, so I can contine to play current games in my lil free time. :up:

Very soon. The HD5000 series is launching next week on the 22nd. The HD5870 is a little faster than the GTX 295.

rv870 is a shrink and gt300 will be a revised architecture, not a huge change. i wouldnt expect a big difference in architectures until new api's. maybe something at 28nm.
