So after searching the forums, google (and all the links that ensued after that), as well as measuring the screws i am currently using to mount my MCR220. I would like to order some M3 screws and just wanted to confirm that the length and type were correct before i went ordering 100 of them from McMaster so I can run a push/pull configuration in an upcoming build I'm slowly pulling parts for.

I am looking to get the M3 Hex Head 30mm length screws. These should work, right?

Those screws should be fine . I would highly recommend getting a box of matching washers for the screws . If the screws get a little to close for comfort to the rad tubes the washers will nice to have .

I have always used 1 1/4" for 25mm fans and I think 30mm should be fine.

I went ahead and ordered a pack of 100 from McMasters. Thank you all for the responses. I will let you know how they work out when i get them.

+1

i just go to the local hardware store and use 1 1/4" screws for a 25mm fan AND standard fan grill. i get 6-32 size.

I have black mesh fan filters ordered from Xoxide along with the case that all this is supposed to go in. ordered it all on thursday night and still have yet to get it shipped out... NOT HAPPY

hopefully the mesh filters are thick enough to offset the little bit of extra length

make sure you get fully threaded screws that way you can cut them to length and use for other things.
