I dont generally do alot of RAM testing but I have had a few kits to play with over the past few months and eva2000's constant influence has changed me!

I have had a good play with this kit, and the BBSE rams are alot different to the hypers in many ways. Of course the CAS8 scaling is what you buy these rams for, running high clocks on cas8, whereas my hyper kit dont get much scaling at all with cas8 over cas7.

Testing platform:
Gigabyte X58-UD4P, 18GB testing
EVGA X58 Classified, 6GB testing
Gigabyte P55-UD6, 4GB and LN2 testing

Intel i7 960/Intel i7 870
Kingston 12800 12GB (for 18gb testing)
Corsair HX1000

I noticed raju said that registers below 3 are not active in b2b tables and do nothing so I will need to revisit this...

i7 - 4 is the minimum delay - 1-3 will default to 4 as will 0 (0 disables the additive logic also). The minimum spacing of memory clock cycles is 4, so setting less than 3 will default to a 4 memory clock cycle delay.

There's a large difference between 1 and 4 in Everest on the Gigabyte boards. It doesn't make any logical sense to me, but it's 1000 MB/sec consistently. Perhaps its changing something else behind the scenes?

Possibly an i5 thing (dual channel) rather than i7..
