Having a little fun on 720 BE last night with DI.

Swapped to my Giga because my other ddr II board :shakes: was just not stable unlocked despite its claims. IMC sux on this particular chip so no sense in downclocking ddr III to ddr II speeds, better just to crank ddr II :)

HeH I predict 30K gets smashed this week when I give the chip more cold :D

I thought so.
but still, with 'only' DI, you manage to squeeze that chip to that speed is sweet.
maybe 5.8ghz with LN/LHe? is it possible to crank to 6ghz under LHe?

and please give those GFX some cold it deserves too :D

Cards can go higher about 852 core on 1 card, 857 on other both on air...however GT's depict the current clocks as my sweet spot......honestly pointless to even clock the cards right now at this CPU speed.

I will be happy with 5.6 on ln2....considering that would be a 125% OC running 3d ;)

No GPU pots yet.....still waiting on my first GPU pot that was paid for :(

Might have to break out my chiller / 4 DD high flow GPU blocks.

See what happens this week.

Chip has validated at 6.1 ish prior unlocked...

NO clue on LHE however my pot is LHe ready.....just need to rob a bank.

yes it it pointless to clock GPU @ that speed.
what I mean is when you chilled that 720 under LN2/LHe. sure will give it some boost ;)

Heh, things get complicated the higher the cpu clocks, lets just say its more taxxing on cards and PCI bus...Cranking the gpu's would just help me waste more ln2 on failed 3d runs not to mention i'm preety bottlenecked till 6gig 3d.

The above is the reason we all are NOT top overclockers.

Whats the stepping of your chip chew ?
I have a 720BE here and it isnt clocking well at all, atleast on AIR.Need to check what it does under LN2. Needs ~ 1.56V for 3.8G 32M stability.

Mine is 0909 FPMW.Interstingly, even this one has a crappy IMC I guess. Not scaling too well on the NB.Both my X2 550 and X4 955 can do 2800 on the NB easily, this thing just wont do 2800.
