Have/had a pet? Post up a picture ;)

Lesser Weasel. Our outdoor cats caught him when he was small and young and we rescued him.. last year. He's since been let go back into the wild.

edit - yes, weasels are mean! Cats used to sit on his cage and he would jump up and bite them lol.

other pics up later

My dog Bea. 2yo
http://www.scootplace.net/bea/original/Bea_42.jpg

my last dog, Scoot.. she died in March 2007 from kidney disease at age 14. she's about 6yo in the pic..

Waters (left), a dog I rescued in Jan 2009, saying goodbye to my dog Bea (right) the day he left for his new home.
He was a stray, here's his story http://scootplace.net/waters/ (I really felt sorry for him when I found him, his running buddy had been hit and killed by a car and he was shivering on the side of the highway in January weather waiting for his dead buddy to wake up off the road)
I nursed him back to health and he now lives in VA with his adoptive family.
he found a permanent home in March 2009 through DRNA (Dachshund Rescue of North America)..

No pets at the moment. Last one's to die were Pythons. Tumor and Bob. They died of old age and they were brothers. They were royal pythons or ball pythons to some. Will post pics later as I am at work. Tumor lived for 13 years and Bob lived for 15 years.

wow at that age, how big were they? Pythons arent small.

My Dog James... Yes he has a human name, my brother named him.
He's going on 14yrs, very old dog, likes to sleep all the time near my computers.

Tumor was only about 4.5 feet long and had a pretty good girth. Bob was 5.5 feet long (which is big for a royal python which are normally only 4 feet long max) and he was pretty big for his species. They both died of kidney failure due to old age. After they died I did not want any pets as I was too heart broken once Bob passed away. Yeah so they were not huge or anything like the Burmese pythons. I would not want one of those because I have kids. Tumor and Bob were the right size.

James looks like a cute dog. Getting up there in age too. Looks very cuddly! Now I know why you get hair in your rads. :p:
Also that SATA 300 book is damn huge! Happy reading! I will wait for the 'Dummies' edited version with popups.

I call the little one redbeard as she grows a beard unlike her Bro and its got a reddish tint to it. Caleb likes to help me when I am building computers by nudging my hand and sitting in front of me while I work. ;)

he technically isn't my dog, but he is always staying at his uncle's place. it also happens to be his 4th birthday today. his name is Mango Man / Manny / Manuel / Man Ram or any variation that includes ...man... in it. he is a rescue that wasn't a very good racer but he is the perfect house dog for living in the city. lazy as the snot that hangs off his nose and great with other dogs/people/kids/etc. he is always a hit at the park or tied up outside Starbucks.

No pets as I'm not home often enough to warrant one. Maybe when I settle down and such

Man Ram appears to have a problem keeping his tongue in his mouth.

No pets, but I have always wanted a big cat, like a Bengal tiger. Maybe I need to work at a zoo then.

^^that's funny. mine steals shoes as I guess you can tell from the pic above.. I can't leave shoes on the floor, they all get put in the closet if I want to keep them. My last dachshund (Scoot) didn't care about shoes, so I could kick them off anywhere.... My current one (Bea) will go for any shoe you leave on the ground, I think she's intrigued with the smell, it's like a story book of information for her.. but instead of words, it's smells of where we've been, what we've eaten, etc... each freshly worn shoe a person wears into the house is like a new novel waiting for the pages to be turned... :D

yup, he runs a little hot, the tongue is always hanging out. he will fall asleep with his tongue hanging out for hours. it feels like an old dried up rubber ball. the best is when he put it back in his mouth after a long time, pasties from hell. takes him a good two minutes of smacking his lips together to re hydrate it :)

My beloved friend and long time companion, Morgan. Sadly, she passed in '05.
